Modicon M221 PLC is an electronic control unit used within Motala platform lift systems to manage and monitor lift operation. It receives signals from buttons, sensors, safety devices, and limit switches then processes this information to control the lift motor, doors, and safety functions. The Schneider Electric Modicon M221 PLC provides programmed control logic for start-up, travel, stopping, and fault recovery sequences. It monitors position sensors and limit switches to support accurate platform stopping at each landing and manages door and gate interlocks. The controller provides diagnostic information to help engineers identify electrical or operational faults during maintenance activities.
